I almost feel guilty posting this as DIY...This was literally the cheapest and easiest project I've ever attempted. No lie. It cost me under $5 and took less than 3 minutes. After loving metallics in my holiday decor so much, I began thinking of how I could incorporate gold into my formal living room along with several silver pieces I already had. I've seen some of the "gold dipped" projects on Pinterest lately and figured it couldn't hurt to try it out. Had I known it would be this easy, I would've made them as gifts! Oh well, next Christmas.

As for the mantel, yes, I know what you mean! That's why I set out to change mine weekly for a year. It definitely helps to rotate everything across it and by the end of my year, surely I will have found a keeper ;-)

Cute idea! I have a mantle that changes all the time, I love that it makes the room look new. Now if I could only find the perfect way to arrange my furniture in there, I would be all set.

Quick easy projects- my favorite kind! These look great! I don't change my mantle around much. My living room furniture arrangement drives me crazy, though, can't figure out how to make it right.

A thought on the mantel, it's not so much about not being able to get it right, because all of your looks are great!, I think it's more about having a place to change things up without having to commit to a whole room change.
